Mighty Mo Invades BC – Episode 439

Well, the time has finally come. That little mouse bait that you keep hearing Ang and Pete rave about is making a reappearance. In this episode, the boys head to British Columbia for some early season Smallmouth fishing and they have brought along the latest stage prototypes in their little rodent creation, Mighty Mo.

MIGHTY MO

Why B.C. you ask? There are two reasons. Number one: the Bass fishing in this province has been on fire for years (in case you didn’t know). And number two: anglers can catch and release Bass all year long! (Check local catch retention regulations.)

“It’s extremely hard for me and Ang to travel without all of our Bass gear,” Pete says. “Normally it gets almost ridiculous, the amount of stuff we bring!”

“But,” Angelo retorts, “when we’re bringing Mighty Mo along, we really don’t need anything else. He’s that good!”

Their home base for the shoot was Cowichan River Wilderness Resort, owned by Kenzie and Kyt Cuthbert. Our boys always come back with rave reviews for this facility and the fishing that’s very close by.

FLYING COLOURS

Shawnigan Lake on Vancouver Island was the smallie water for the trip.

Ang says, “We’ve fished Shawnigan before and it is a perfect venue to give the new Mo a try.”

Well, new Mo came through with flying colours. Almost every area the boys tried on Shawnigan, they connected with surface fish. Aggressive, jumping smallies with a face full of fur!
